Food Insiders is the first website developed by RS Partners. The two joint partners are Rajiv Gatha and Sandeep Thakrar.
Rajiv's background is in Finance and he is located in Reading. Sandeep's background is in IT and he is located in Chiswick. We are both self-confessed foodies and have eaten out at around 200 different restaurants over the past few years. We think we know a fair bit about Indian food in particular (having eaten it all our lives!) and about the best places to find it.

We have an alpha-numeric rating system. Firstly the whole dining experience at the restaurant is rated from a scale of 1-10 with a heavy weighting on the food and service. Then we rate the choice and quality of vegetarian dishes on the menu on a scale from A-E. You may think we are quite harsh in our ratings out of 10, but we are quite demanding customers!
We welcome feedback on the system and on any comments you may have on specific reviews.

After looking at various different options and getting quotes from a number of web developers, we decided to write this website ourselves. Starting from an (almost) zero understanding of html, php and mysql we quickly learned the basics and have hopefully got a site up and running that will fulfil our needs and be useful to visitors.
For domain name registration and website hosting there are a multitude of companies out there, but we have found Hostgator to be very competitive on price, very comprehensive in terms of the tools offered and very good for suppport. We can thoroughly recommend them. |
